Barrister Ameer Abbas Ali Khan has an outstanding academic and professional background with initial schooling and collegiate from Aitichison College Lahore and Cadet College Hassan Abdal following which he proceeded to the United Kingdom where he completed his LLB(Hons) with distinction in Contract Law from University of Kent and obtained LLM in Commercial and Corporate Law from London School of Economics (LSE) after which he did Bar Vocational Course from University of the West of England and was called to the Bar as a barrister of Lincoln’s Inn in 2003 and started practicing in London and progressed to become Duty Solicitor and Solicitor-Advocate with higher rights of audience to appear before all UK courts including House of Lords and he has a privilege to be selected by Reuters as a rising solicitor of London in 2013. Barrister Ameer became advocate Lahore High Court in 2007 and has developed legal acumen over the number of years enabling him to deal with wide range of cases including civil, criminal, commercial and constitutional matters and also served as Assistant Advocate General Punjab from May 2018 to December 2018 before his re-appointment in April 2019, and his license for Supreme Court of Pakistan is in under process. Barrister Ameer also initiated Ph.D. in International Trade Law with respect to fraudulent transactions in the carriage of goods by sea from the University of Portsmouth and worked on the thesis for two years before halting it due to professional commitments.
