Additional Advocate General (Admn) is:
- Responsible for the conduct and discipline of the staff of the office of the Advocate General Punjab
- Responsible for placing and attaching law officers with Judges of the High Court and Supreme Court
- Responsible for all disciplinary inquiries
The Additional Advocate General (Drawing & Disbursing Officer), Punjab
Additional Advocate General (Drawing and Disbursing Officer) is:
- Responsible for considering and approving the budgetary allocations and expenditures
- Acts as the Chief Financial Officer of the office of the Advocate General Punjab
The Additional Advocate General (Research and Development), Punjab
Additional Advocate General (Research and Development) is:
- Responsible for research and he alongwith Assistant Advocates General conduct research on latest development in law and is also responsible for identifying any changes in the law, so as to bring the same within the knowledge of the entire office
- Incharge of the Library Committee and responsible for ensuring the availability of all new texts

Additional Advocate General (Chief of Staff) is:
- Responsible for conduct and discipline of the staff of the Advocate General Punjab
- Responsible for completing tasks that require immediate attention of the Advocate General Punjab
- Responsible for attending calls and meeting the official visitors of the Advocate General Punjab in his absence
- Responsible to deal with important constitutional and legal issues that require imminent consideration of the Advocate General
